Why NCUK

World-class preparation for world-class universities: the proven formula to help international students succeed at university

With more and more international students striving to enter overseas universities each year, their decision to choose the right pathway programme plays a pivotal role in helping them get into their first choice.

NCUK is unique in international higher education. Each year, our university pathway qualifications enable thousands of international students to progress to university through our global network of 90+ Delivery Partners in 30+ countries. Our qualifications are designed with our University Partners to provide students with the academic and English language skills required to gain entry to 50+ leading universities worldwide, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Formally recognised by UK ENIC as being comparable to GCSE A-Level, Advanced Placement (AP), Senior Secondary School Certificate of Education (SSSCE) and Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), the NCUK International Foundation Year not only enables students to progress into top-ranked universities worldwide, but also helps them to succeed when they get there. As many as 90% of NCUK students get into their first-choice university and 80% go on to achieve a first- or second-class university degree.

These high student success rates are attributed to the quality of our qualifications, the academic integrity of our Delivery Partner network and our range of English for Academic Purposes modules (EAP).

Integrated within subject study, our EAP modules have been designed to ensure that academic language development occurs alongside subject study to support students’ subject knowledge development, rather than being a stand-alone English language module. This provides students with the real experience of using and understanding academic English language to ensure that they are fully prepared for the transition to an English-medium university. Our range of EAP modules are also widely accepted by our University Partners for visa purposes in lieu of IELTS (or equivalent), saving students time and money on sourcing alternative proof of English tests.

Our vast experience of delivering qualifications across multiple markets, coupled with our new teaching materials, flexible delivery models and extensive academic support means that it is now even easier to get started teaching NCUK qualifications than ever before.
