NILE to train in Saudi Arabia

NILE, one of the world’s largest English language training providers for teachers, is now running online, tutor-led courses in Saudi Arabia. Set up by a joint British Council and Saudi Ministry of Education initiative, the professional development training will lead to globally recognised certification of 40 English language teachers in the country.

Each of the courses is tutor led for up to 16 participants, using tailored tasks and interactive tools to create a face-to-face experience online.

“The Ministry of Education is proud to collaborate with the British Council to work together on this great programme that targets 40 English language teachers across Saudi Arabia,” Dr Mohammad bin Saud Al-Moqbil, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for General Education, said. “By participating in this programme, teachers will have the opportunity to work with their peers from other countries and develop essential skills and competencies.”

Eilidh Kennedy McLean, British Council country director for Saudi Arabia, said: “The British Council is delighted to support English language teachers in Saudi Arabia to undertake NILE online professional development courses.”
