Expanding offerings

Showing how to think outside the box, EC is now expanding into the world of tech training by joining forces with DEVBLOC. DEVBLOC is a Canadian company that provides post-secondary school training in computer technology.

EC English Language Centres started with one school in 1991 in Malta and has now grown to 22 schools spread across the USA, the UK, Ireland, Canada and South Africa as well.

From September, Maltese-owned EC will offer online courses – which will move to in-person from January 2022 – in fast-track tech training in partnership with DEVBLOC The courses are designed for those who want a career in the technology sector, and students will be taught how to design and build computer programs and websites.

“The partnership with DEVBLOC adds a new dynamic to EC by giving students the chance to expand their knowledge in the field of IT and create more job opportunities,” says EC’s director of Operations for North America, Martine Mangione.
