Exams on hold in Vietnam

From November 10, all IELTS exams in Vietnam have been put on hold until further notice, according to the local press. The move follows an order from the Ministry of Education and Training to all cities and regions to investigate and review the organisation of all foreign language exams

Both the British Council and IDP, who between them administer the country’s  IELTS, have contacted candidates with the news and promises to reschedule the exam for all affected candidates.

According to the Tuo Tre website, the Council website, the British Council has sent an email to all candidates saying the decision was beyond their control and “the resumption of the test depends on the consent of the Ministry of Education and Training, with whom we are collaborating….”
