Cambridge goes to India

In an effort to improve the English language skills of its graduates, the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has teamed up with Cambridge University English to provide language labs in all of its skill development colleges.

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) will use these labs to support students through online and classroom lessons to up their English levels to help them compete in business, international careers and generally up their employability. As well as providing access to a learning portal and mobile app, Cambridge English will take care of the curriculum, learning materials, teacher training and, ultimately, assessment, when students will receive a CEFR score and a Cambridge University English Certificate.
