ETpedia™ Exams

500 Ideas for Preparing Students for EFL Exams

Louis Rogers and John Hughes with Vanessa Reis Esteves

Pavilion Publishing and Media Ltd

ISBN: 978-1-911028-80-2

Are you preparing students for an EFL exam? If so, this spiral-bound resource book will be of interest. The fi fty units are organised into eight areas, including preparation for writing, speaking, reading and listening exams. The format of the ETpedia™ series is well-established, with each unit providing ten ideas, tips or activities. Especially useful is the list of similarities and differences between paper-based and computer-based exams and the guidance on constructing your own questions. The book does not supply in-depth information on areas like ‘validity’ and ‘reliability’ but does give a source for locating such information, along with detailed summaries of ten major ELT exams. The Appendix is packed with photocopiable teaching material, including a basic code for giving feedback on writing. Practical and accessible.
