Increase in enquiries for TEFL post-US election

The TEFL Org has received a spike in enquiries from the United States following the election result last week.

The teacher training business reported a 600% increase in traffic and a 300% increase in sales from the US since the election, as Americans begin to explore their options. Additionally, there has been a surge in related search terms on Google Trends.

‘Since last week’s election, our Customer Support team has been inundated with queries from people in the US, seemingly keen to avoid a second Trump term.’ said Managing Director of The TEFL Org, Andy Healy.

A TEFL qualification opens many opportunities for people to work abroad, and costs as little as £200 (US$257). Since launching their first online course, TEFL is the most accredited course provider in the world. For many overseas employers, a TEFL qualification, as well as a degree and criminal background check are all that’s required, making employment abroad accessible to a lot of Americans.

‘While Canada and the UK are top searches for Americans interested in moving abroad,’ Andy continued, ‘these countries have strict visa requirements, meaning they’re challenging to move to for most Americans. A TEFL certification, however, provides a more straightforward route for those who want to move abroad.’
