Polish up your English language learning and teaching innovations as it’s time to submit them to the annual British Council ELTons Awards. For the 20th incarnation, the judges will – as ever – be looking for ‘extraordinary resourcefulness and ingenuity’. This time it may well be something that has been borne out of the pandemic. It might be for live online classes, courses, apps, platforms, projects, resources or technology, perhaps AI, VR or speech recognition. If you, or you and your team, have developed something new when it comes to delivering English language teaching that aids learning, now is your time to stand up and be rewarded for it.
There are five award categories: Excellence in Digital Innovation, Innovation in Learner Resources, Innovation in Teacher Resources, Excellence in Course Innovation and Excellence in Local Innovation.
There is an ELTons webinar for prospective applicants on 9 March 2022, at 12 noon. Visit here to register. Entry to the awards closes on 17 March 2022 at 23.59 GMT. Visit teachingenglish.org.uk for full details and entry applications.
If you’re interested in being a judge find out more about it here, where you can put yourself forward until 28 February 2022 at 29.59.
