Like the idea of a cultural exchange and fancy a two-week summer break teaching English in Poland? It could be yours, including room and board with a host family near one of six Polish cities and a three-day post-teaching tour.
Are there caveats? Of course. You must be at least 18 by the departure date and, to be a teacher, you must have documentable teaching experience in almost any subject (STEM, arts, history, sport, for example). You might be a college professor but, equally, you might teach in a pre-school setting. If you don’t have a teaching background you can still be a teaching assistant. In this case you might be a student yourself, retired, ex-military, an ordinary working person… Oh, there is one more thing. You must be American.
This is because the Teaching English in Poland Camps are run by the Kosciuszko Foundation, established in 1925 to ‘promote educational and cultural exchange between the United States and Poland’.
