Speaking English step to Man U manager role

In the hubbub around Finn Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s exit as Manchester United’s manager, a number of names have been thrown into the hat for his possible replacement. Along with one-time United defender Laurent Blanc, former midfielder Raif Rangnick and ex-Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre, could one-time Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane be in the running?

According to Emmanuel Petit, Frenchman Zidane is learning English, which may be a hint as to his next move. Although he’s never played for the Premier League, his winning record at Real Madrid holds him in good stead and speaking English well would give him an advantage if it came to communicating his footwork skills to the Red Devils.
