More good news

Heralding good news for the English language sector, the UK’s Department of Education has confirmed that students under 18 years of age arriving from amber-list countries to attend boarding schools are not required to quarantine. And those arriving from red-list countries can do their quarantine at the boarding school.

Their student visas mean they are classed as ‘ordinarily resident’ in the country and the only additional requirement is that they take a Covid test before travel and on or before day two after arrival.

Students aged 18 and over who are residents of the USA or Europe, and are fully vaccinated either in the UK or by the UK vaccination programme abroad, or in the USA or in the EU, as well as Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland or the Vatican City are also exempt from quarantine.

For advice and information on all aspects of admittance to the UK, including if students are travelling from red-list countries, Bright World Guardianships has put together a handy guide.
