More centres

As well as Pearson’s existing two PTE test centres in Istanbul, it has now opened two more PTE centres in Turkey. They are in Izmir at the Dokuz Eylul University and Ankara at the British Side English Language School, and both offer PTE Secure English Language Testing (SELTs). These tests are accepted by the UK Home Office and can be used for UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI); while the PTE Home test can be used in the UK for settling, citizenship applications, and for sportspeople and overseas business applications.

The centres are part of Pearson VUE and all adhere to safe practice in regard to health and safety, including social distancing, available hand sanitiser, sanitation of high-touch areas and regular disinfection of work stations.

“The number of students in Turkey aspiring to study abroad is increasing and an English language proficiency exam plays a crucial role in providing a pathway to enable them to do so,” says Ipek Aydin, head of PTE for the Middle East & North Africa. “The establishment of more UKVI test centres in the country supports Pearson’s aim to increase the reach of our centres across Turkey to offer easy, local access to a globally recognised, fast and reliable English language proficiency test for immigration and study abroad opportunities.”
